Isn’t shopping a pain in the … back?

So we have officially made it to the other side of Christmas. The big 2015 is over. All that is left to do is write all of your thank you cards, and hit the shops with any gift cards you received this Christmas…

But a little advice, don’t convince yourself you have to spend all of your gift cards straight away.

You don’t want to be lugging endless bags around a shopping centre. Not to mention the added stress of tackling all of those hectic boxing ‘week’ sales. Our solution? We hit the sales for one day and that’s it.

In this stressful and usually chaotic environment, being tense is only going to make you more likely to do some damage to your spine and neck.If you absolutely cannot miss out on a bargain, make sure you wear comfortable and supportive shoes.Oh, and park close!

If only we could walk around wrapped in our duvets…

Keep warm and toasty! That new leather jacket your family gave you as a gift might look cool. But if you aren’t adding on those extra layers the cold will go straight through you. No one else will know the difference if you don’t wear that jacket on the day anyway. If carrying a hot water bottle isn’t practical for you (don’t try to convince yourself, the jacket isn’t worth it!), an alternative is to Layer! Layer! Layer! In fact, put too many layers on. You can always take them off if you get too warm.

From us here at the Backpain Centre, we hope you apply these precautionary actions when tackling the shops, and that your 2016 will be a happy and healthy one.
